as light returns

“as light returns”

One of my first works in the studio.

I'm starting with a spring palette: green, dark blue, a clear blue, plus lavender and powder.

I was interested in how these colors interact, how they hold together and then dissolve again.

Layer by layer, something emerges that defies definition.

It remains in motion.

Like the world, which is finally slowly awakening from its winter slumber.

And the light that gradually returns.
